Ceramic Bulb Making Popping Noise

I have owned it since 2012.

Ceramic bulb making popping noise.

Each of the 20 bulbs 5 per fitting emits this sound and they are in sync with each other at each fitting. It s actually the result of something called crazing which is a pottery defect that happens to new pottery that is under tension. It really makes a loud crackling noise so i am afraid to have the light turned on. They usually will make a little pop as you turn them on or just after the don t keep popping.

I have a ceiling fan with a light fixture in the extra bedroom i use as an office. I bought a new light bulb today and put it in. It really shouldn t be making noise. It is the original tile with no signs of repair or cracks in the tile or grout.

This question would be better asked in electronics as i am sure at least one person there has pulled a bulb apart to see how it works. There is an area about 15x15 inches that makes a crackling noise when you step on it.
